Okay, my first day of spring post is late...

But then, so is the weather that goes with this season...
Excerpted  from the Farmer’s Almanac...
Ah, spring! This season brings increasing daylight, warming temperatures, and the rebirth of flora and fauna.
The word equinox is derived from the Latin words meaning “equal night.” Days and nights are approximately equal everywhere and the Sun rises and sets due east and west.
At the equinoxes, the tilt of Earth relative to the Sun is zero, which means that Earth’s axis neither points toward nor away from the Sun. (However, the tilt of Earth relative to its plane of orbit, called the ecliptic plane, is always about 23.5 degrees.)

--- in layman’s terms, it’s still f—ing dark when I walk Max in the morning, there’s still f—ing snow on the ground and it’s still f—ing cold when I go to bed each night.

But, determined to look on the bright side, which on this day, is exactly equal to the dark side, (in spite of the cloud of gloom that eternally hovers over me lately,) here is a springy illustration to mark the day.

In planning for this week coming I am wondering if LLBean makes winter boots in Spring colors!!! Your girl is delightful Kerri, but she should be wearing heavier clothing cause we're never getting Spring! It's going to go right from this frigid, windy, snowy weather to the raging humidity we all love so well!!!
Maybe, just maybe, we can look forward to three or four days of Spring….let's keep our fingers crossed! The Easter Bunny has his work cut out for him, don't you think…..?

Love the post. I like everyone else is wondering if we are going to have a spring at all. The poor flowers and trees must be really confused or else they needed to sleep in this year. I find myself buying spring colored things for the house just to cheer it up a bit and new spring makeup to make myself feel more cheerful but at the sight of our grey skys, it doesn't help that much. Is it time to start a prayer group? Love your girls. Always a delight on a dreary day no matter the season.

such very sweet bloom art. love the pink! i want some vintage denim bibs to wear outside while gardening. you've inspired me. lol i have had the hardest time in the mornings since we set our clocks forward for daylight savings time. my body is not adjusting well and wants to be in bed for another hour (or three). even my dog, zoe, has been sneaking back into bed when i get in the shower. we don't have any snow on the ground but the temps are unseasonably cold. i am sick and tired of it. thanks for the bright spot here on your blog!

We had a lovely Spring and then Winter arrived on March 29th and April 1st with snow. I think Mother Nature is having a good time with all of us over strange weather. Your Bloom and Grow girl is so sweet and lovely. I never grow tired of your art my friend. Sending you WARM hugs...I hate being cold!
